You have cheese??

"Oh you have goats. Do you make cheese?"

A common question I get when I begin talking about the goats that reside on our small ranch. Cheesemaking (and the learning process) began with the first quart that we milked from the ladies. Chevre and feta were first made in 2018 and became an instant hit with our local customers. Spring of 2020 we began making and aging cheddar and this holiday season we will have our first small batch 6 month aged cheddar available. Let me tell you.....I LOVE cheese, all kinds of cheese, but this cheddar is quite tasty. Maybe its because I now know the process to make aged cheese (lots of patience) but this cheese is something else! As the year progresses, I have branched into Monterey Jack and Pepper Jack cheese (look out tacos!)
